braid keeps playlists of videos you choose to save. This page says what we store, why, and what you can do about it. It's written to be read; if anything is unclear, email admin@braid.video.
what we store
- Your account: name, email address, and a hashed password (or your Google account id if you sign in with Google).
- Your library: playlists, the links you save, when you saved them, and their order.
- Public details about the videos you save (title, creator, thumbnail, length), fetched from the platforms they come from. We keep our own copy of the thumbnail so a video still has a picture after it's removed.
- Backup links you add to a save. Only the link; never the video.
- Billing: handled by Stripe. We keep your subscription status, never your card details.
- When you first save, play, save from another app, come back, or upgrade, so we can see where people get stuck. Page visits are counted by Vercel Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and doesn't identify you.
what we don't do
- We don't sell or rent your data, and we don't show ads.
- We don't read your accounts on other platforms; we only see links you give us.
- We don't store video. Backup links are private to you; shared playlists only show the originals.
who processes it
Convex (database and thumbnail storage), Vercel (hosting), Stripe (payments) and Resend (email). Each processes data only to provide its service to us.
your choices
- Export everything from settings at any time.
- Delete your account from settings. Your library is removed straight away.
- Make a shared playlist private again by turning its link off.
cookies
One cookie keeps you signed in. Video players embedded from other platforms may set their own cookies under those platforms' policies.
